Spotco

Terms of use

Last updated 28 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Spotco for using Spotco. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

1. Who can use Spotco

You must be 18 or over. You need an account, and the details on it must be true — in particular your name, because other people use it to recognise you when you turn up.

One account per person. Do not share it, and do not create a new one to escape a suspension or a reliability score you did not like.

2. What Spotco is — and is not

Spotco lets people find and organise their own activities. We provide the app. We do not organise, run, supervise, coach, insure or attend the events listed on it.

The host of an event is its organiser. They decide where it is, who can join, what it costs and how it runs. We are not a party to the arrangement between a host and the people who join, or between either of them and a venue.

We do not vet or background-check anyone. Reliability scores and reviews are built from what people report about each other; they are useful signals, not guarantees, and you should not treat them as ones.

3. Meeting people in person — please read this

The whole purpose of Spotco is that you go somewhere and meet people you may not know. That carries real risk, and it is yours to weigh.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Spotco is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from an event you attend, from the conduct of anyone you meet through the app, or from a venue’s premises. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. If you are hosting

When you publish an event you are telling people it is real and that you will run it.

You cannot join or leave your own event. If you cannot run it, cancel it — that is the action that tells everybody and returns their money.

5. If you are joining

6. Money

Events that are free, and events you pay for at the venue

Most events are free. Where an event says you pay at the venue, that money is between you and the venue or host — it does not pass through Spotco, and we cannot refund it.

Your Spotco wallet

The wallet holds credit for use inside Spotco. It is not a bank account, not electronic money, and not withdrawable as cash. It earns no interest.

Where an event is cancelled for you — by its host, by us, or because too few people joined — anything you paid in the app is returned to your wallet in full.

7. Content you post

Event descriptions, names, flyers, chat messages, reviews and your profile photo remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them inside Spotco so the app can work. That permission ends when you remove the content, except where it has already been shown to others in a chat.

Only post what you have the right to post. A flyer you did not make and cannot license is not yours to upload.

8. Conduct

Do not use Spotco to:

You can report an event, a person or a venue from inside the app, and you can block anyone — a block hides both of you from each other and prevents joining each other’s events.

9. What we can do about it

Where something breaks these terms, we may remove content, rename or cancel an event, suspend an account, or close one. Where we cancel an event, everyone joined is told the reason and anything paid in the app is returned to their wallet.

We aim to act proportionately and to say why. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@spotco.app.

10. Venues

A venue that claims its listing can manage its availability, publish its own events and see its bookings. Claiming a venue means confirming you are authorised to act for it. Everything a venue publishes is its own responsibility, and the arrangement between a venue and the people who book it is between them.

11. Availability

We try to keep Spotco working and will not promise it always will. We may change or withdraw features. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app.

12. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. What happens to your data — and what is kept because it belongs to other people too — is set out in the privacy policy. Please cancel any events you are hosting first, so the people who joined are told.

13. Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Spotco after that means you accept the new version.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
