How Spotco works

Spotco lists group sports and activities in your city: five-a-side, padel, runs, hikes, board game nights and more. Join one in a few taps, or organize your own.

Joining an activity

Every activity shows where and when it is, the price and who organizes it, before you commit; the ones you join on Spotco also show the spots left.

Find something on

Pick your city and browse what is on, by day or by activity type, on the website or in the app.

Take your spot

Join in a few taps. If it is full, take a queue place: you move up automatically when somebody drops out. Some organizers approve each request first.

Turn up and play

The group chat opens as soon as you join, and you get a reminder before the start. The organizer checks you in when you arrive.

Good to know

What it costs
Browsing and joining are free. If an activity has a price, you see it before you join and pay it at the place, as the organizer says.
If your plans change
Give your spot back until 12 hours before the start, and the next person in the queue gets it.
If not enough people join
An activity can have a minimum. If it is not reached in time, the activity is called off and everybody going is told.
Turning up counts
Everybody has a reliability rating, and organizers can see it. Turning up keeps it high; not turning up without leaving lowers it.
After the activity
Rate the organizer once it is over. The reviews show on every activity they run, so the next people know what to expect.

Organizing an activity

Organizing is free and takes a couple of minutes in the Spotco app. Spotco handles the sign-ups, the queue, the reminders and the group chat.

  1. 1

    Choose what and where

Pick the activity type, then search an address or drop a pin. At a venue on Spotco, take one of its open times.

  2. 2

    Set the details

The day and time, how many spots, a minimum if you need one, the level, and the price and how it is paid.

  3. 3

    Publish and share

It is on Spotco in your city straight away, with a page of its own to share. Repeat it every week or every month if it is a regular.

  4. 4

    Run it

Approve requests if you want to, message everybody going, add up to three co-organizers, and check people in by scanning their code.

Organizing happens in the Spotco app, which is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
